Description

This module seeks to provide students with a foundational knowledge and understanding of the EU legal order; the historical development of EU law, the legal framework through which it operates, the bodies through which it is created, implemented and enforced, and its relationship with national law. The module will also consider the constitutional characteristics of EU law and the incorporation of fundamental rights alongside other sources of EU law. In addition, the module will introduce the law of the internal market, with particular reference to the principles of free movement.
